5. A BIT OF READING (31:52)
Verlaine, ‘Chanson d’Automne’:

Les sanglots longs
Des violons
    De l’automne
Blessent mon coeur
D’une langueur

Tout suffocant
Et blême, quand
    Sonne l’heure,
Je me souviens
Des jours anciens
    Et je pleure;

Et je m’en vais
Au vent mauvais
    Qui m’emporte
Deçà, delà,
Pareil à la
    Feuille morte.

I found some rather nice rhymed English translations here.

Credits: Music: Piano Sonata in E-flat Major, mvt. 3 by Joseph Haydn, played by Mario Ajero.

    Hello Isabelle!
Lovely podcast ~ thank you! I love your shawl! How beautiful it is. Your knitting inspires me to want to learn (when I have time). 😉 I love seeing the various yarns you (help Petit Mignonne) spin. 🙂 Have a lovely autumn!
