In the introduction, I mention A Playful Day’s project of The Maker’s Year.
1. A HANDMADE WARDROBE
2. MY CUP OF TEA
No tea, but half a lemon squeezed into hot water with a bit of honey.
Winners for the Verdure/Bonbon KAL and the Mini Spinalong have been announced in the Ravelry group for the podcast. Many thanks to Fondant Fibre, Voolenvine Yarns, Casual Fashion Queen, Knotty Gnome and Katrina (nellieknits) for donating gorgeous and generous prizes for the KAL and spinalong.
The Mini Spinalong is still ongoing – I have just ordered a new prize to keep it fun. 🙂
2. A BIT OF SEWING
3. A BIT OF KNITTING
- Peacock Socks out of West Yorkshire Spinners Peacock and Blueberry Bonbon Signature 4ply, using my lovely DPN Cosy by Little Bobbins and a gorgeous bag from Holland Handmade Co.The sock blockers are from Burning Impressions.
- I participated in Dani (Little Bobbins)’s Christmas Eve Sock Cast On using some Goldisocks from The Wool Barn in the Enchanted colourway, but converted them into fingerless mitts. The sock pattern I started out with is My Cup of Tea by Robin Lynn. My project page ioncludes notes for how to convert the socks into mitts.
- Campside by Alicia Plummer, out of Rowan Baby Merino Silk DK in the Zinc shade. My project page.
4. A BIT OF SPINNING
I just spun a braid from Sara’s Texture Crafts Colour Club 2, River Ride, inspired by a Monet painting.
I mention Theresia’s (AKA Schnueffeltier/The PassioKnit Spinner) tutorial on mixing and matching various coloured braids of fibre towards a handspun sweater.
